The 43rd Annual Scientific Meeting of JEA was held on the web on July 9-25, 2022.
708 attended the meeting.
The 44th Annual Meeting of the JEA is going to take place in Tokyo on the 8th through 9th July, 2023. The Meeting is presided by Prof. Noriyuki Suzuki (Showa University)

8. Journal (JJEA)

The Journal of Japan Endodontic Association was published three times a year.
The Journal includes original papers, review articles, news and announcements.
The latest issue was published in September 2022 (Vol.43, No.3).

9. Accredited Specialists System

The Accredited Specialist System of the Association was founded in 1996. The number of accredited specialists in the Association is 249 as of 31st of December 2022.

1) APEC
JEA is a member of the Asian Pacific Endodontic Confederation (APEC). ・The 15th Scientific Congress of the Asian Pacific Endodontic Confederation was held on 2009
in Tokyo, Japan.
・The 16th Scientific Congress of the Asian Pacific Endodontic Confederation was held on 2011
in Shiraz, Iran.
・The 17th Scientific Congress of the Asian Pacific Endodontic Confederation was held on 2013
in Seoul, Korea.
・The 18th Scientific Congress of the Asian Pacific Endodontic Confederation was held on 2015
in Amman.
・The 19th Scientific Congress of the Asian Pacific Endodontic Confederation was held on 5th
till 8th of April, 2017 in New Delhi, India.
・The 20th Scientific Congress of the Asian Pacific Endodontic Confederation was held on April
24-27, 2019 in Istanbul,Turkey.
・The 21st Scientific Congress of the Asian Pacific Endodontic Confederation was held on June
16-19, 2021 in Levanon,Beirut.

2) IFEA
JEA is a member of the International Federation of Endodontic Associations (IFEA). We had the 9th World Endodontic Congress in conjunction with the 34th JEA Annual Scientific Meeting and the 11th Joint Scientific Meeting with JEA and KAE on May 23 - 26, 2013 in Tokyo. 1,560 attended from 48 countries worldwide.

3) KAE
・We entered into an agreement for academic exchange with the KAE on July 6th, 2003.
・We had the 2nd Joint Scientific Meeting with KAE in conjunction with the 31st Scientific Meeting of KAE at Asian Medical Center Auditorium in Seoul, Korea on April 16th, 2004.
・The 3rd Joint Scientific Meeting between KAE and JEA was held on July 30th and 31st, 2005 in Tokyo, Japan.
・The 4th Joint Scientific Meeting between JEA and KAE was held on April 15th and 16th, 2006 in Kyung-Joo city, Korea.
・The 5th Joint Scientific Meeting between KAE and JEA was held on May 26th and 27th, 2007 in Hiroshima, Japan.
・The 6th Joint Scientific Meeting between JEA and KAE was held on April 26th and 27th, 2008 in Gwangju, Korea.

JEA is a member of the Asian Pacific Endodontic Confederation (APEC).

JEA is a member of the International Federation of Endodontic Associations (IFEA). We had the 9th World Endodontic Congress in conjunction with the 34th JEA Annual Scientific Meeting and the 11th Joint Scientific Meeting with JEA and KAE on May 23 - 26, 2013 in Tokyo. 1,560 attended from 48 countries worldwide.

・We entered into an agreement for academic exchange with the KAE on July 6th, 2003.

The Asian Pacific Endodontic Confederation (APEC), the Korean Academy of Endodontics (KAE) and Japan Endodontic Association (JEA) are going to co-host the 15th APEC Scientific Congress which will be held in Tokyo, Japan on Friday, 24th April to Sunday, 26th April 2009.
Welcome to Tokyo, Japan! APEC and KAE-JEA would cordially like to invite you all to the special session of APEC –“The Fusion of Science and Modern Art”-.
APEC was founded in 1985 for the promotion and development of high standards of endodontic research, teaching and clinical practice in the Asia Pacific region. Great emphasis has been placed on biological aspects of endodontic lesions, and recently clinical arts have been in the headline (eg, conventional and surgical techniques using microscopes, retreatment with MTA, laser application, etc.). The internationally renowned and distinguished speakers will update these fields, and we hope the APEC 2009 Scientific Meeting will fulfill not only academic demands but professional relationship among us.

Prof. OKUDA Katsuji (Tokyo Dental College) and Dr. KOJIMA Tamotsu (Tokyo) presented a special lecture respectively. Also one symposium, chaired by Prof. OGISO Bunnnai (Nihon University) and TAGUCHI Masahiro(Tokyo).

8. Journal (JJEA)

The Journal of Japan Endodontic Association is published three times a year. The Journal includes original papers, review articles, news and announcements.

9. Accredited Specialists System

The accredited specialist system of the Association was founded in 1996. The number of accredited specialists in the Association is 153 as of 31th of Desember 2008.

10. International Relations

1) APEC
JEA is a member of the Asian Pacific Endodontic Confederation (APEC).
2) IFEA
JEA is a member of the International Federation of Endodontic Associations (IFEA).
3) KAE
We entered into an agreement for academic exchange with the Korean Academy of Endodontics (KAE) on July 6th, 2003.
We had the 2nd Joint Scientific Meeting with KAE in conjunction with the 31st Scientific Meeting of KAE at Asan Medical Center Auditorium in Seoul, Korea on April 16th, 2004.
The 3rd Joint Scientific Meeting between KAE and JEA was held on July 30th and 31st, 2005 in Tokyo, Japan.
The 4th Joint Science Meeting between JEA and KAE was held on April 15th and 16th, 2006 in Kyung-Joo city, Korea.
The 5th Joint Science Meeting between KAE and JEA was held on May 26th and 27th, 2007 in Hiroshima, Japan.
The 6th Joint Science Meeting between JEA and KAE was held on April 26th and 27th, 2008 in Gwangju, Korea.

The Annual General Meeting, chaired by Prof. KURIHARA Hidemi (Hiroshima University) in conjunction with the 5th KAE and JEA Joint Meeting was held on 26th and 27th of May 2007 in Hiroshima. 7. Scientific Meetings

The Annual General Meeting of the Association, chaired by Prof. KAWASAKI Kouichi (Nippon Dental University School of Dentistry at Niigata) was held in Niigata on 10th and 11th July 2004. Prof. WATANABE Korehisa (Kanagawa Dental Univeristy) presented a special lecture entitled, "Analysis of embryologic mechanism of odontogenic cyst using molecular pathology" in the Meeting. Also, Prof. ONO Shigeru (Tokyo Medical and dental University) presented a special lecture, "Problem of mind during dental treatment: psychosomatic medical approach". The 2005 Annual General Meeting, chaired by Prof. KATSUUMI Ichiro (Nippon Dental University School of Dentistry at Tokyo), will be held on 30th and 31st July in Tokyo.

8. Journal (JJEA)

The Journal of the Japan Endodontic Association is published three times a year. The Journal includes original papers, review articles, news and announcements.

9. Accredited Specialists System

The accredited specialist system of the Association was founded in 1996. The number of accredited specialists in the Association is 189 as of 31st December 2004.

10. International Relations

1. APEC
JEA is a member of the Asian Pacific Endodontic Confederation (APEC).
JEA Councillor of APEC is Prof. NAKAMURA Hiroshi.
2. IFEA
JEA is a member of the International Federation of Endodontic Associations (IFEA).
JEA Councillor of IFEA is Prof. SUDA Hideaki.
Prof. SUDA Hideaki and Prof. HORIUCHI Hiroshi gave invited lectures in the IFEA 6th Endodontic World Congress held in Brisbane, Australia, from 8th to 11th September 2004.
3. KAE
We entered into an agreement for academic exchange with the Korean Academy of Endodontics (KAE) on 6th July, 2003.
The 2nd Joint Scientific Meeting with KAE was held in conjunction with the 31st Scientific Meeting of KAE at Asan Medical Center Auditorium in Seoul, Korea on 16th April 2004.
The 3rd Joint Scientific Meeting between JEA and KAE will be held on 30th and 31st July 2005 in Tokyo, Japan.

Dr. Kenneth A Koch (U.S.A.) presented a special lecture entitled, “Design concepts of rotary instruments” in the Meeting. Also, Prof. Chan-Ui Hong (Dankook University, Republic of Korea) presented a special lecture, “The effect of root surface treatment to reduce the replacement root resorption in delayed replantation cases: what is the best way?”. The 2004 Annual General Meeting, chaired by Prof. Kouichi Kawasaki (Nippon Dental University School of Dentistry at Niigata), will be held on 10th and 11th of July in Niigata, Japan.
